The service, food and ambience during our Dec. 24, 2024 dinner were all one could hope for. Our party of four went for the $40.00 pre-theater menu, which had a generous selection of the restaurant's dishes. Our starters---lamb keftede, octopodi and Romain salad were all tasty, fresh and well-prepared and served in generous portions. Three of us chose the fish of the day---Mediterranean sea bass simply grilled, with a side of spinach accented rice; the shrimp souvlaki, with its cherry tomatoes and onions was outstanding---its tomato flavored rice complemented the dish perfectly. Immediately, we were encompassed by the warm singular ambience of the small dining room: it feels like coming home. Eric, our server, was outstanding. He was with us throughout the multi-course prix-fixe meal, and gave us excellent commentary about what we were about to eat and drink. He even laughed when I asked, “Does everyone make it through all of the courses?” and he responded, “No. You are the first one.” Vetri is a unique experience. The courses arrive in a decent pace, always giving us enough time to digest and ruminate. The food is uniformly excellent; you can’t really go wrong. Both were super tasty and seasoned to perfection. For our entrées, we ordered the pyramid pasta and the braised short rib ravioli. Both dishes were outstanding. We finished the evening with a delicious homemade tiramisu. Our server was fantastic. He was very accommodating and did not rush us.
