Since 1746, the building that houses this tavern has played a part in the establishment of our nation; first as a respite for stagecoach travelers expanding westward and later as a covert rendezvous point for George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, and other leaders of the American revolution. This was the first time we ate out for Thanksgiving. Farmhouse restaurant is very quaint and small and cozy. Especially with the fireplace on. That said the stage for all the delicious food that they served from our appetizers of roasted brussels sprouts, cheese spread, and calamari. to the turkey dinners, salmon, and delicious crabcakes. Everything was wonderful.

We were impressed with the Thanksgiving prix fixe meal. The food quantity and quality were very good. The service and atmosphere were also impressive. Only one negative was the food temperature. The soup and main meal were not warm. Everything else was so good it was easy to overlook that issue.

I was at first taken back by the BYOB but in the end it only added to the value of the experience. Staff was well trained and executed all the steps of service flawlessly. The food was amazing! The plate presentation was detailed and exquisite. It made the food jump off the plate and into your mouth. This restaurant exceeded our expectations 10 fold. Great job!
