The ambience is so beautiful and there is a relaxing atmosphere. Unlike so many restaurants it was not loud, but also not snobbishly quiet. It was just right. Very good service, they accommodated our adjusted reservation time so professionally and with courtesy. Our waitress Loren, was very knowledgeable about the wines and menu and spot on with her recommendations. I wish I would have consulted her about my dish, because I was a little disappointed with it. I got the pesto spaghetti, but it didn’t have a nice presentation or much flavor. I asked for a side of pesto and it greatly improved. But everyone else’s dish was delicious and beautifully served. We would definitely return!

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the staff. You truly made my fiancée and I’s night unforgettable. The romantic ambiance was incredibly warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a special evening. Although I can’t recall the names of my server and the hostess—who I believe was the lovely blonde lady in the rose shirt—I want you to know how much their efforts meant to us. I was so touched when she reached out earlier in the week to confirm our reservation and to inquire about how I planned to surprise my fiancée with the earrings. Knowing how anxious I was about the entire plan, it meant the world to have such thoughtful support from the team. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that our night was memorable, and it absolutely was! Our server was fantastic as well. He really knew the menu inside and out, providing wonderful suggestions to help us navigate our first experience at the restaurant. We are already looking forward to making another reservation because this place has quickly become our favorite, even surpassing Hyde Park downtown in our eyes. We enjoyed the 2025 Valentine's menu. It came with an app, main, and desert for just $36 bucks which is kinda wild and affordable in my opinion. The ambience is stunning, just a really cozy, dim, romantic feel. Not too noisy, and despite being a full restaurant on one of the busiest days of the year, it felt surprisingly intimate with the use of cloth curtains partitioning the space into smaller sections. The appetizers were fantastic, I had the shrimp gumbo and my girlfriend had the wedge salad. For the main course I had the crab linguine Alfredo which was incredible and had an absurd amount of crab (in a very good way). My girlfriend had the pork and it was so tender, served right on the shank for an impressive display and large portion. Dessert was the only bummer. They were out of tiramisu so our options were a beer float or a s'mores brownie. I loved my float, but the brownie was dry, hard, and I make better ones out of a box. Overall, incredible meal though, super affordable and with some cocktails and beers it was still well below our Vday date budget. Finally need to note that our server was a joy! She was super informative about the menu, very personable and fun. Attentive, really just all the things you want from your service. We will be back for sure!

We had reservations for Valentine’s Day. It was very busy, but we were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation. We were seated upstairs. The room is amazing. Music was a little loud, but a conversation across the table was not a problem. Of the salads, appetizers and entrees we ordered, the only item that was slightly disappointing was the octopus. It was charred perfectly and was very tender, but it lacked seasoning. The sauce was great and added flavor. I Despite every table being full in the bar and both floors, the service was very good.

Mitchell’s Ocean Club has always been a favorite for a fun evening at their bar. However, we decided to get a table for Valentine’s Day for a more intimate experience. We couldn’t have had a better time. We were warmly greeted by the hosts and then the greetings just kept coming. The young man serving water was equally as friendly and enthusiastic as the managers. You could sense that each staff member took great pride in their positions. Eric and Hannah were in good form as always, efficiently and managing their teams during a busy holiday evening. Always with a smile and positive attitude. Our server, Justin, was completely invested in our experience. His timing and awareness of our needs was impressive. He knew when to come check on us and when to give space. Not easy on a busy night. His suggestions were spot on so we tried things we might not have normally tried. The bread is scratch made and served hot. Not many restaurants even offer bread anymore. I ordered the 10oz lobster tail which was melt in your mouth delicious with perfectly cooked asparagus. My girlfriend enjoyed every bite of the Japanese A5 Wagyu strip steak. In addition we always share an order of our favorite, the goat cheese ravioli. It’s so easy to stay home and order in these days, but if you’re going to make the effort to go out to dinner, a first class experience, like Mitchell’s Ocean Club, makes it well worth your while.
