- KKatrinaSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews5.0Dined on 25 Dec 2024Traveling solo I wanted a tasty Christmas dinner in a casual cozy restaurant. Bennie’s delivered on all fronts. The small restaurant was busy but not overly packed. I truly appreciate the staff who came into work on Christmas Day evening and provide a delicious meal and friendly service to their diners. I chose the 3 course dinner and asked to substitute sparking water for the champagne which they did with no fuss. The Chicken Pate was served with a wonderful fresh bread. It was savory and the raspberries provided just the right touch of tart and sweet. The Duck Breast was flavorful and the cranberry sauce again provided a nice touch to cut through the richness of the meat. Rounding out the meal I chose the Chocolate Mousse which was delicious. I’ll definitely return next time I’m staying in the area.More infoBennie Restaurant & BarPrice: Moderate• European• Fitzrovia•4.5
- CClaire-LouiseLondon •1 review5.0Dined on 20 Dec 2024Delicious food which took us right back to Spain! And a very enjoyable experience all round. We are locals and have watched the progress of this special little restaurant since it opened in June 2023. Gabriel has grown the menu over time and we have watched the crowds grow too! Saturday lunchtime is especially busy for brunch and it makes me happy hearing the Spanish language as I walk by. The service is great, and it is always a good sign when a restaurant makes food that the people of that country want to eat! There is relaxed outside dining in the summer months on pretty Foley Street where you can take your time eating and chatting and watching the world go by, and a cosy atmosphere inside, especially on a dark winter evening. On our last visit we enjoyed a feast of anchovies on brioche, croquetas de queso, gambas al ajillo with pan de casa, courgette and sun-dried tomato tortilla, and pan con tomate rounded off with the excellent burnt Basque cheesecake. And the Bobal wine was very nice too! Highly recommended!More infoBroken EggsPrice: Moderate• Spanish• Fitzrovia•4.8
