Best Date Night Restaurants in Port Clinton

This was our first time at the Standard and we were pleasantly surprised. We started off with mussels, wedge salad and the garlic bread all of which were excellent, but the garlic bread stood out, last time I can remember a garlic bread that good was at Michael Jordan's Restaurant in downtown Chicago. We ordered steaks, perfectly seasoned, only issue i would comment to is temperatures were slightly off but the overall flavor was excellent. I added shrimp, which was excellent. The dessert was great. Overall a great addition to the food scene and definitely hope the quality and service continue, we definitely will be back soon!

Our waitress made our experience there a really good and memorable one. It was our first time there and our waitress (Lexi) was really kind, sweet, and funny. On top of that, the food and drinks were really good. The ambience could have been a little darker because I felt that it was a little too bright especially at night but I would definitely go back to eat at this restaurant and recommend it to friends/family.

Our second visit to the Cabin Club was for a late seating on Valentine's Day. The food, ambience, service, and staff were outstanding. As an ex waiter, I really appreciate the staff here. Everything moves in a relaxed, efficient manner balancing good attention to our table without being obnoxious, if you know what I mean. The menu here has enough variety of appetizers, seafood, pasta, soup, steaks, meats, and desserts to please just about anyone. Kudos to Chef and management! Add to that a well rounded selection of house cocktails, wine, and beer and you cannot help but have a terrific meal here. One last thing, and this is for the men reading this review: Gentlemen, is it too much to ask to throw on a blazer or suit jacket to take your wife or girlfriend out for a Valentine's Day dinner? When a restaurant website suggests Business Casual for attire, they are referring to what a man should wear. Dress up guys, your lady will love you all the more for it!

It is always a great time at Cooper’s Hawk. We had a wonderful server, Quinn. She was very attentive and gave us great recommendations for our meals. We had the gnocchi a la vodka, gnocchi a la carbonara. Delicious! We also had two bottles of wine: The Artists Red and the Bonarda Malbec. So so good. Ended with a cremeux and a chocolate cake. We left feeling happy, full, and will absolutely be back. Quinn is awesome. Ask to sit in her section: she will provide great service! Cooper’s is lucky to have a server as great as her.

Four of us went for a 1:30 reservation on Valentine’s Day. At that time it was not crowded, we were not rushed; it was a very leisurely lunch. Our server was professional knowledgeable. I look forward to another visit. We ordered from the lunch menu, 2 of us ordered smash burgers, another a salad with chicken topping, and I had the flat iron steak. We were all pleased. The truffle fries were delicious. And the extra salad I ordered to go with the steak and fries was just the right size, perfectly dressed. The cocktails 2 of us had were exceptional. I had a pear martini with sage simple syrup (not sure if that’s how it was described) and my friend had the fig and vanilla martini. We were both happy!
