Best Date Night Restaurants in Woodstock

Service and food were excellent, I have said that before about Prime 120. This time I really want to thank them for their choice in ambient music. My family is tired of going to restaurants where they play loud and what I call “stressful music” I don’t know where this model came from but it is really annoying. Prime 120’s selection is to create a great atmosphere and not to artificially increase the noise level in the place. This is a classic feeling that we appreciate and is lacking in a lot of places now.

Our fave for special occasions has become a staple in our area. We celebrated two birthdays this evening. Great food, great bar, great ambiance. Got seated late for our reservation due to previous guests running late but drinks at the bar were good and hostess came to get us when table was ready. Pasta dishes are outstanding and starters were a big hit. Love Capers!

My fiancé and I had the opportunity to be a part of Cooks & Soldiers’ 10 year anniversary celebration, and let me tell you that we were BEYOND IMPRESSED. There was a stellar tasting menu with generous portions, and service was TOP-NOTCH!!! A huge shoutout goes to WILLIAM (a former manager who’s now at a another location within the CHG but even made a guest appearance 🫨), JO (one of our go-to servers), DEJA (the general manager - my apologies if I misspelled your name), JOSH (another manager), the bartenders, the chef, and the rest of the Cooks & Soldiers team (both FOH and BOH). The hospitality/customer service and teamwork was impeccable, which was refreshing to witness. When I didn’t think it was possible, Cooks & Soldiers did it again, providing yet another unforgettable dining experience!!! Honestly though, I shouldn’t be surprised when this is the standard the CHG has set. Kudos to you all and keep up the great work!!! Here’s to future success and many more celebrations!!! Except for valet (upon arrival, he just looked at us, zero greeting or communication...), our experience was excellent all around. Caviar service, veal mousse, carpaccio, gnocchi, lobster pasta, clam pasta, and halibut. Clam pasta was just okay. Everything else was perfect. Thank you, La Grotta.

Was looking for a place in downtown for a quick dinner before a show and chose this because they took reservations. While we didn’t need one we found this place to be perfect for what we wanted. We were seated immediately and our waitress did a wonderful job. I had the pork carnita tacos which were awesome and my husband had a burger which he said was delicious. I would definitely recommend for a nice meal and drinks.
