Open Tuesday to Sunday with food served all day from noon.We now have 3 Giant heated Tipis, they provide lots of fresh air and a lovely open environment, they are also heated.Formerly an 18th Century farmhouse boasting exposed beams, oak floors, exposed brickwork and oak tables. This leads to a very relaxed and cosy atmosphere with candle lit tables and real flame stoves.The cuisine is typically modern European, classically cooked using cornerstones such as stock pots to create their sauces with a brigade that has a passion for what they do. We usually go to our local pub in Kidbrooke for our Christmas meal, but having been to The Hare and Billet on several occasions for an excellent Sunday roast, we thought we would give it a go this year and we were not disappointed. We pre-ordered our food from their set menu along with a couple of glasses of champagne. We felt welcome upon arrival and the table was ready. The champagne came out very promptly followed by starters which were delicious. The mains and desserts were also served promptly and tasted great. The chips we had ordered were a bit odd but didn’t detract from the overall experience. I really appreciate the service, which is always confident and direct, the guys know how to do their jobs properly and are up for a chat. Would recommend and will return.
