Best Family Style Restaurants in Boston/New England

We celebrated my 60th birthday there tonight with my family. We all loved the food. We let the Chef decide our meal.

We’ve been to Cantina a bunch of times and always leave more than satisfied. The food is excellent, service goes overboard to make sure everyone is happy. Favorite app is the calamari or prosciutto and fresh mozzarella. I don’t have a favorite main course, because they are all fantastic. Can’t wait to go back in 3 weeks!

I stumbled on this place accidentally when the place I usually go to in Brookline was relatively booked, and I’m so glad I did! The food is outstanding, the cocktail, sublime, and the weight staff were friendly and extremely efficient. This is a gem of a place, not too big so you can have a nice conversation while you are enjoying the delicious food, I will be back!

We have gone every year on Anniversary for the last 4 years. They have always made the experience personal and very enjoyable. The atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant is exceptional. We both ordered the filet mignon, whipped potatoes and Brussels sprouts with Banana Foster for dessert! The steak was very tender and full of flavor. The meal was delicious and we will be back! Highly recommend!

This wonderful gem EXCEEDED our expectations! My husband and I celebrate our anniversary in the north end every year and like to try a new restaurant every time- this place was phenomenal- every single bite was excellent from the starter arugula salad to the veal Marsala which was impeccably seasoned and incredibly tender to the flourless chocolate cake which was oh so fudgy and decadent- the owner/chef came to our table to make sure everything was great (to me this is a staple for a well run restaurant). We were beyond impressed with the wait staff as well- never needed for anything. It will be hard to try a new restaurant next year as this one leaves some really big shoes to fill!
