Best Family Style Restaurants in South Orlando

Tonight was our first visit to Nami. It’s a beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere, service is impeccable and food is very good. It’s an experience to eat there. Between the two of us including tip, our bill was over $300. So it’s not an inexpensive restaurant. It is an experience so it is as worth it. There were two downfalls to tonight’s visit. The first is that the chairs are very low at the tables. I’m a short person and when I sat down, I felt like the table came just above my breast bone and it was a little uncomfortable for me. Jokingly, I told my friend that should’ve brought me a pillow or a booster seat. The other thing that was disappointing was after our meal was done, we sat at the table for about 10 minutes. We were looking at our phones, where we had pulled up the menu for the restaurant and were looking at some of the things that they had on there because we couldn’t remember everything we ate. While we were doing this, the manager came up to us and asked if he could buy us both a drink at the bar. I asked him if he needed our table and he said no two other ladies did though. When we declined because we were driving, he said well can I offer you a half a glass and you can share? We said no we’ll leave.. I’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants in my life here and around the world that were just as expensive as this one or more so. And I have never been asked to leave a table. I wonder if they would’ve asked the same of a couple or two men? Anyway, I won’t let this deter me from going back because there were still a few things on the menu we wanted to try. But beware… don’t let Germany your table after dinner.

Fantastic place, hands down. We come here everytime we visit Orlando and this is an absolute treasure with their menu, the friendly wait staff and of course the beautiful Porto Fino hotel. The Christmas dinner was awesome, the lamb chops, rigatoni bolognese and the salmon were cooked perfectly and served hot. The burrata and the tuna tartare were excellent. We enjoyed every bit of it, thank you.

I absolutely loved going to Taverna Opa for Xmas Eve! The food was amazing as well as our server ans the entertainment of the Belly dancer and music was awesome! Recommend this place 110%

Absolutely amazing experience! We are locals and have been to Mia's before but this time was out of this world! We went for Christmas Eve dinner, ordered family style and Yasmire served us. Not only was she attentive but she was friendly, informed about the holiday specials and efficient. It's hard to find quality Italian food in Orlando that never disappoints, (especially on a holiday) with an exceptional staff and this is it! Thanks for a wonderful evening

This was my 3rd time back to Kava and we still love it so much! Luigi was amazing at the bar and Daniel was a great server. The management staff and hostess was friendly and welcoming!
