Best Family Style Restaurants in Sunset Park

The novelty of it being a fancy restaurant behind a pawnshop front was what drew us here, but we also had a really really good experience. This restaurant has to be the one of the prettiest restaurants we’ve ever been to. My husband and I had the prix fixe, which we figured was the best way to try as many of the dishes as possible without getting too full. The food was absolutely delicious! For appetizers we had the Thai Style Deep Fried Shrimp and Little French Dips. I preferred the former over the latter. Our entrees were Lamb Chops and Wild Mushroom Ravioli. i have to say the mushroom ravioli was probably THE best we have ever had. Our sides were truffle mac and cheese and bbq fries, and for dessert we had the LES NYC doughnuts (which come with dark chocolate fudge, berry, and caramel dips) and the black bottom butterscotch pot de creme. The desserts are defintely a cut above the rest. We highly recommend this place! We’ll be coming back someday!

Absolutely incredible experience. Every dish was carefully and beautifully prepared. The wine list was extensive and with the knowledge of the staff we didn’t miss. From start to finish a phenomenal meal. Thank you Pescaline and staff.

The food was out of this world! Mars's only 5-star restaurant :) Get the olives and the monkey bread - and whatever else you want, but at least those two things.

Great vibe, Food was solid. Our waitress was awesome. The pizza’s were great and loved the Lasagna.

Christmas lunch was wonderful. Four courses plus amuse bouche and petit fours good value at 195.00 considering the high standard. Oyster amuse bouche Chilled Maine Lobster citrus dressing Chestnut agnolotti Diver scallops with truffle Toffee pudding with eggnog ice cream Everything was delicious. Meal was well paced. Lovely dining room.
