34 is Chef Emeril Lagasse’s first restaurant dedicated to the cuisine of his Portuguese heritage. He was inspired by his late mother, Hilda, who influenced his interest in cooking when he was a child growing up in Fall River, MA. We went to the chophouse to celebrate a friend’s birthday. First of all the restaurant is beautiful. The service was second to none. The waiter was there every time we needed him, but not in our face. I ordered the bone in filet mignon, it was the most tender steak I’ve ever had. One of the best things was that we brought two bottles of wine and they don’t charge a corkage fee. Overall, it was a great experience and a great birthday dinner.
