At KELP we take our time to make sure the food that goes on your plate is a fresh and local as possible. We source our seafood to be specifically Scottish and sustainable. We pride ourselves on using local suppliers for all our food. The fish people supply our fresh seafood daily. Our bread comes from Soja bakehouse, a family owned bakery in Cumbernauld. Our meat comes from ABR butchers, based in Bearsden. Our executive chef, Christopher Hutchison, creates amazing, innovative dishes to be enjoyed and shared with friends and loved ones. The ambience and service are always good. The soup however could have been warmer while the gluten free options were very limited. Restaurants and chefs need to be aware that gluten free does not mean vegetarian! The soup should have been served with bread but no gluten free bread was provided or offered. My friend was impressed with her non-gluten lunch.

My first visit to this restaurant, great ambience, nice light atmosphere. The food exceeded my expectations, very well presented and tasted really good. The service was outstanding with great attention given throughout our visit. We shall definitely be back.

This was my first time at Kelp. We had a reservation and were running a bit late so I phoned the restaurant and they helped us find a more suitable time. Once we arrived, the waiter was very attentive and cheery. We ordered from the market menu and it did not disappoint! I loved the evening and will definitely be back!
