Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. Legend tells that Kokkari is the site where Orion, a mighty hunter and a young man of gigantic stature and great beauty, fell in love with the daughter of the king of Chios. Seated quickly at a lovely table. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was spectacular. I love the simple elegant Greek salad . The lamb rib lets are cooked to perfect tenderness and simple flavors without being overpowered with herbs. Look forward to next time

Clearly one of the best restaurants in the Bay Area. We had the 9-course tasting menu, chef Claude’s signature. Usually for such menus there’s always one or two less interesting. Not here, no miss, everything was exquisite. Very polite and knowledgeable service staff. Quiet. Really a fantastic experience.
