The George hotel is a beautiful 400 year old hotel, currently only used as a restaurant. Taken over in 2020, the restaurant is tastefully decorated, adourning wonderful photos of chepstow through the years. The menu boasts an array of fabulous dishes, from the traditional 'pub grub' with our 2 for £16 menu, to our in house dry aged Steaks, cooked to perfection by our chefs or brought out to you on our signature sizzling hot stones. Our experience at the rock and fountain was first class When we arrived we were greeted by a young lads who was cheerful and very polite we started laughing and joking straight away which was class The lady who took our food and drinks order was the same happy polite and a good laugh and helpful with our order The 4 of us said what a great night it was ! That’s to all the staff we met for a great time 👊

We've been planning to book for a while following recommendations from friends and our first visit didn't disappoint. The food was beautifully cooked, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. We had a starter, main and dessert and it was all delicious.
