The artisan, Texas-crafted pizza incorporates local flavors that highlight Neapolitan-style pizza in what we define as Texapoletana.Fiume - also once a city in Italy - was known as a cultural melting pot in the height of its existence. Similarly, the San Antonio River is the core of our dynamic and culturally diverse city of San Antonio. “YOU MAY ALL GO TO HELL, AND I WILL GO TO THE CROCKETT TAVERN!”Born out of the ruins of The Alamo’s last stand, situated on the El Camino Real Trail, the Crockett Tavern is the real Texas deal.Located in the historic Crockett Hotel, feet away from the perimeter walls of the legendary Alamo, the Tavern exists as a living reflection of the site of the infamous battle of nearly two centuries ago and of Davy Crockett, the storied frontiersman whose life and death provided the most remarkable narrative of it all.The surroundings tell their own tale. Old Bexar rock, repurposed oak and cedar beams create a canvas that harkens back to the days when Texas was a battleground for independence. After your visit to the world-famous Alamo, the Tavern offers a chilled whiskey cocktail or an ice-cold Texan craft-brewed beer, served at a worn and weathered bar that is guarded by Texas’ largest girth longhorn mount.

Best Quality Daughter houses a vibrant, chic décor and new, unique Asian-American menu. In 2018, chef Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin, wanting to address the sparsity of Asian-American female chefs in South Texas, developed a new concept through a series of pop-up dinners called Best Quality Daughter with fellow chef Anne Ng and artist Jennifer Ling Datchuk. Today Best Quality Daughter is located in the historic Mueller House at the Pearl Brewery. Curated by chef Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin, Best Quality Daughter's menu takes inspiration from her travels and the comfort food of her youth as a second-generation Chinese-American.

We live in Southtown and love to walk to Fiume for date nights, it never disappoints. Some of the best pizza in town, the Sweet Texas Heat is a must! Great wine selections both from Texas and outside, and amazing people watching on the riverwalk.

Overall experience. 2nd trip in 30 days, this time was a date with my wife. Sat in the booth where the lights didn’t work and attended said she would get a manager to check them never came back. Server said later that booth and the other open booth haven’t worked in a while. Bread was outstanding, lobster risotto was excellent but very light on the lobster, and my dish also was very good but very little meat (didn’t take the remaining since all meat was gone). the wine my wife wanted was sold out from the menu. Overall, will probably not return.

I’ve come to Ostra before and have always liked it but they really impressed last night! The east coast oysters were fresh, clam linguini was dangerously good and the martinis were very well done. Service was excellent and I was grateful the moved us inside even though I originally booked an outdoor table.

We went to Paesanos before attending an event at the Majestic. We made reservations for two hours beforehand. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our order was taken quickly. Nonetheless, it was 45 minutes to an hour before the entrees arrived. Some in our party had salads brought earlier. Bread was provided. As we were with friends we were well entertained, however, I began to get nervous about the time element. We were not truly kept abreast of the delay. The food was excellent as always. Perhaps the wait staff was understaffed as there was less attention than I thought appropriate. My husband had to get up and get someone to bring a reorder of his coffee even though the waiter had taken his cup to refill. Nonetheless if you have plenty of time and are enjoying visiting with friends, the food is outstanding.
