The choice of two comfortable dining rooms each with its own vintage bars make dining and conversation a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Both bars feature a delicious and moderately priced food menu. The menu is Italian with seafood specials such as grilled octopus and dover sole. Saloon steaks and veal chops are legendary. Stephen Starr’s Buddakan is a spectacular restaurant featuring exotic flavors of modern Asian cuisine with creativity and drama. Bon Appetit notes, "The mostly white space is striking, with a lit-from-within communal table in the middle of the room, a waterfall & a ten-foot, candle-bedecked Buddha. The religious icon watches over hip customers indulging in pan-Asian cuisine that far surpasses the fare usually found at hot spots like this." Newsweek reports, "Design also serves as a signifier for cuisine. You walk into Buddakan, one of the hottest new restaurants in Philadelphia, past a shimmering waterfall & Japanese river stones & you say to yourself, 'ginger-miso everything' even before you see the magnificent 10-foot Buddha dominating the dining room." Named one of “America's Top 50 Restaurants" by Travel & Leisure and 'Top Restaurant for Fun' by Gourmet, Buddakan has become one of the country's most talked about restaurants.

On a cold late fall day, is there anything better than sitting by a roaring fireplace enjoying light bites, delicious beverages, and friendly conversation? Dandelion delivers on all fronts in a way that many places do not including other Stephen Starr restaurants. It has separated, intimate spaces that allow many people to enjoy confined conversations in the little pockets in between. My friend had many food sensitivities and was able to navigate the menu to find 4 things they could enjoy while holding to their standards. All in all, this restaurant consistently delivers and excels in this time of year as a warm respite from the cold wind of the city.

Had a great lunch and a glass of wine with my wife. The Quiche Lorain was delicious with enough to take home. The mushroom soup was a large serving and very good. I had the chicken curry sandwich which was also delicious. Also I recommend the deviled eggs. It was very festive with the decorations and holiday shoppers. The staff was very attentive and pleasant especially our waitress Danielle and a young man that chatted with us for a bit who may have been the wine steward. We have been here several times and will continue to go back.

What a great new dining spot in Rittenhouse! We started with the crab claws, oysters and swordfish belly from the raw bar. All were incredibly fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The next course was the hash brown with uni and crab-- perfect to share with a dinner mate. Last we had the scallops, which were prepared to perfection. Our server was fabulous-- informative, helpful and attentive without being intrusive. The vibe is fun and the place was packed on a Tuesday evening. Can't wait to come back!
