Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength. Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. We also received the Thai select award from the UK Thai Embassy which certifies authenticity and the freshness of our ingredients.We’re a young team of enthusiastic individuals, who over the last few years have bought our passion and skills to the table. St . Valentine’s evening was really nice. amazing atmosphere. Food came quite quickly and was delicious. Staff was really nice but clearly understaffed which is not their fault.

This place is just the best for cocktails. Really friendly attentive bar staff who know how to mix a great drink and make for a really comfortable experience. I keep going back because I love it so much

The food is excellent! The service on our visit was also great! We talked to a young guy with a beard and he was excellent as well. The only thing might be that other members of the staff could work on their behavior. But it is a minor issue.

I never write a review however, being celiac, as well as my daughter and dairy free, this restaurant excellent flavors the food was phenomenal. The service was even phenomenal. My daughter and I are also allergic to shellfish and they made sure everything was allergy friendly. This is one of our first restaurants in London, where we didn’t have any cross-contamination and did not feel sick after our meal. Highly recommend if you have celiac disease.
