Ospi is the sophomore restaurant of Jackson & Melissa Kalb, focused on Southern Italian cooking and way of life. The name derives from ospitante (“host” in Italian), with the expectation that guests will feel as comfortable at Ospi as they would at a friend’s dinner party. There will be plenty of house-made pastas as well as an expanded offering of pizzas. The beverage program crafted by Kalb features mostly Californian and Southern Italian wines and a full bar with a special negroni section. At Ospi, the pizza is inspired by the techniques of Antico Forno Roscioli which Jackson and Melissa frequented while visiting Rome. The service was great my friend and I grabbed a few drinks and an appetizer, and then we left to a place with meat because the name of this place had us presume there was steak on the menu LOL otherwise it was good

The experience was amazing. Starting with Juliana’s recommendations for the special options of the day, Steak Tacos and Burguer. Tacos was incredible, tortillas velvety and tasty, meat soft. Burguer exquisite, jam outstanding.

Always a good experience at Ospi. Consistently good food and service. I like how the Brentwood location is nice and feels upscale but not stuffy. This time had the spicy eggplant (my favorite), the roasted cauliflower (very good), kale salad (solid staple, always very good), pasta with sausage (good) and the dover sole (i don't eat this but my campanions loved it). I always find their pizzas and pastas to be delicious as well and the Butter Chicken is not to be missed.
