The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they’re Hapa. We have stretched the boundaries of creativity to develop dishes that defy all the rules while holding true to our roots. We hope you will find our menu innovative, uninhibited, and distinctly fun! Incomplete parties will not be sat until complete.

The staff is always very friendly and so kind. The sushi is always top notch and melts in your mouth. The only sad part is that most everything was sold out by Saturday night. Four to five of the items that we were trying to order were already sold out by the time with got to dinner at 7:00pm. I've had sushi in Seattle, Baltimore, San Fransico, and Seoul, South Korea, and Izakaya Den is easily my top choice in sushi.

Everyone we interacted with, host, bartender, and servers were amazing. As was the food. We were celebrating my oldest son’s 21st birthday and you made it very special for him. Joking about his temporary license, complimentary champagne and Tiramisu, we couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you. We will be back soon.

Amazing experience! Started with the prosciutto, a pinot grigio, and had the tagliatelle, followed by the torta. It was all so wonderful! HIGHLY recommend the tagliatelle!! I sat at the bar, where Caesar waited on me, and he was exceptional. Highly attentive but not over-bearing; he was personable and friendly. I loved the ambiance as well. It should also be said, Caesar went above and beyond, and is an expert in his craft! Make a reservation, and you will not be disappointed.
