Osteria Amore came to life because we believe in the power of food to change your day, or in our case, change your life. Owner Eduardo Daja has been working in restaurants since he was a teenager growing up in Italy, and his time in culinary school only strengthened his passion for food. After culinary school, Ed stayed in Bologna to work at a family-owned restaurant. He moved to Utah eight years ago, and found himself missing his first love, food. For the past three years, Ed has been managing an Italian restaurant while also maintaining a career in tech and finally made the life-changing decision to open his own restaurant. That big decision was made possible for Ed when he met Marco Cuttaia, Osteria Amore’s executive chef and partner.     The food was fine. Ribs were a bit dry. It would be nice to have a vegetable on some kind with them. The sauce was delicious. The salmon was prefect. We were a bit surprised at the lack of variety on the menu. A pasta option with a sauce rather than Alfredo would have been nice. The Dutch pull apart was fantastic. The service was excellent.

    It was a lovely Valentine’s Day with excellent specials and the staff was excellent and provided a great experience with some of the best food I’ve had in Salt Lake and quite sometime. Duck spring rolls are to die for!!!

    Our food was amazing as always! Our server Sean was outstanding! He was fast knowledgeable and took great care of us. The steak and salmon melted in your mouth. The teriyaki chicken and spare ribs were cooked perfectly. A must-have is the gyozas and tatsuta age chicken appetizer. They are a classic and some of the best things to eat there. We have been coming to Kyoto since the early 90s, and it was amazing then, and still amazing now...

    The service by our server, Jade was amazing, friendly, courteous, and very attentive. A great neighborhood place for food. we had reservations and it’s a good thing, the line of people was long. Highly recommend it if you’ve never been there!
