From the hostess to our server, the service at Gertrude’s was phenomenal. We went for brunch to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and we were pleasantly surprised with a lovely birthday card from the staff and dessert. It was an appreciated touch that my husband was excited to put the card on the fridge, including the envelope which one of the staff members personally drew a special design on. The food was also delicious. I highly recommend the hot mess breakfast - the sauce was immaculate! If you’re making at stop at the garden, definitely add Gertrude’s to your food stop.

The food was fresh and delicious, with a great variety of options to suit different tastes. We brought a friend who isn’t a fan of raw sushi, and he was pleasantly surprised by the number of alternative choices available (though we still think he should give real sushi a try!). It was also his birthday, and the restaurant went above and beyond by surprising him with a dessert, which was absolutely delightful. Our three-year-old son also had a great time and enjoyed his bento box, making this a wonderful spot for families. The atmosphere was inviting, the service was attentive, and overall, we had an excellent experience. We’ll definitely be back!

What a fun place! Young, lively, decor great. Food delicious! Only get to Phoenix once a year and this place was not a disappointment for our only dinner out on the town. A definite do over. 4 star on staff was only because it was so busy and the bar seemed hard put to keep up. Everyone was cheerful, friendly and fun so 5 stars on the personalities!

It was first thing at noon and very empty. Nice seating. Didn’t feel jammed with tables. Service excellent. Just had a chicken club n fries but really good!! Had its own flare way beyond cafe style. Espresso martini really tasty!

Menu needs an update, add more small plates, shareable options. Specials for show goers!
