Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Elgin

Always a pleasure dining here! Kudos to our Wine Server Joy she is such an amazing person! Her name says it all! Thank you for an amazing experience every time we do our wine tasting and dine at South Barrington!

Food and wine were excellent. Service was exceptional. I had short rib risotto which was great. Brought friends from out of town for their first visit and they loved it. We will all be back.

Alyssa was a great attentive server. Dinner was exceptional. The Parmesan crusted chicken and Italian sausage flat bread are great. The smores budino for dessert was the perfect size after being stuffed from dinner. I ordered a wine flight at the table and followed Alyssa’s suggestion. Great meal over all and the service puts it over the top. Never a bad experience here.

Excellent food and service! We had the crabcakes which were delicious for an appetizer, and we had a side salad for myself, which was plenty, quite a nice serving! I also had the Wednesday special chicken that was excellent. My husband had the trios fillet which he always enjoys! The service was excellent ! And we love the ambience!

There were 4 of us for dinner. Food was great, we had salads, short rib ravioli with vodka sauce, spaghetti and meatballs, and rosemary chicken. With dinner we had wine & beer - everything was GREAT!!! For dessert, we shared chocolate cake with ice cream and tiramisu. Again, everything was GREAT! The restaurant looked beautiful with the Christmas decorations. Music was just starting when we left, sounded like FUN! We had a 5:00 reservation to fit a busy schedule. Savanah was our server and was friendly & attentive. We really enjoyed her! When we left, we ended up buying a gift certificate for $100 and got a $25 bonus as we will be coming back again for sure!
