Skull Creek Dockside Restaurant, dropped its anchor in the Fall of 2017 and forever changed the culinary landscape of the Lowcountry. In early 2017 the partners of the restaurant began to transform it into their vision for Hilton Head's newest waterfront dining destination. This restaurant, which resembles an old-style river house, is full of authentic architecture, reclaimed wood, and nautical accents that leave you feeling like you've stepped into a Melville novel. Everything was outstanding! Beginning with one of the best servers I’ve been waited on in a long time. Very friendly, good conversation and prompt. The food was Hot and timely. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Manager Ben stopped by and greeted us as well as all tables and was really professional and informative. We will absolutely return!!

Our Anniversary dinner was delicious. Gaston, the server we had was terrific. He was attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, personable and efficient. My Osso Buco, recommended by Gaston, was great and on par with my wife’s which is wonderful. Thanks Gaston and Ombra for helping us celebrate our 41 anniversary.

We always look forward to our return visits to Lucky Rooster and being taken care of by OZ. The early dining menu was a pleasant surprise and did not disappoint. Our group enjoyed the octopus appetizer, pear and arugula salad and Caesar salad. Some had the short rib (always a favorite) and the trout. Do not pass up the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream One of the local gems not to be overlooked
