Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Near North

Great Sunday night dinner to celebrate Valentine's Day with my wife and youngest son (15). We had a meal to satisfy every type of eater (Read: very picky to eats everything) and every type of meal. We started with salads and a crab cake appetizer. For entrees, we ordered some standards from the menu (e.g. NY Strip and Grilled Seafood Platter) to the off menu, Beef Wellington. We have a strict, clean eater and they made sure to prepare everything exactly how she needed it (e.g. salad = no cheese, mushrooms = steamed, steak - no butter). Dessert (1/2 slices of key lime and banana cream w/ a scoop of vanilla) were enjoyed. Service was great, old school and professional.

We tried this restaurant last night and had the best time. The food was amazing, but what was really amazing was our server Rene and the staff. The staff was so on top of it, and the food came out so fast. It was our friend's birthday, and we were trying to surprise her. We had ordered a cake but needed to figure out a way to get it there without her noticing. When my other friend called the restaurant, they were able to hold the cake for us in the morning and then bring it to the table as a surprise. Rene was already informed by staff, so when we arrived, he was already in on the plan. At the end of dinner, the cake was brought out, and it was such a nice surprise. Special thanks to Rene and the staff at Quartino—you are all amazing.

The food was delicious and the free champagne for Valentine’s Day was so appreciated. Ely was a wonderful server and manager came by to check in our experience. Everyone was very friendly despite it being a busy night. I have found a new favorite restaurant!

The service and food were outstanding. We were celebrating a family birthday and the team reached out ahead of time to find out specifics and make the evening even more special!
