Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in The Colony

Food was amazing, loved the sushi and seafood mix as well. Had the tomahawk pork chop and thoroughly enjoyed it, my girlfriend had the truffle tortellini with blackened cajun spiced grilled chicken and love it as well. Also the crispy tofu rolls were satisfying and delicious and I was genuinely surprised how good they tasted. We’re definitely coming back here! Also the server was very polite and nice.

The food is truly the star here! Had the truffle fries and sushi for appetizers and both were so delicious! I had the Chicken Penne alla vodka and my wife the braised rib and they were both so delicious and full of flavor. Value is AMAZING for the quality of the food. The inside is beautiful and ambiance was comfortable and relaxing. Although this is not an insult by any means this restaurant is not an expensive steakhouse so don't expect that type of ambiance (low lights, formal attire severs, $100 steaks lol) here. Perfect date night, we will be going back often!

We went to Thirsty Lion on Valentine’s Day, which was yesterday. We had the Valentine’s Day specials. The shrimp was amazing and my salmon was so good. There was a pairing of wine, white or red with our meals. I believe Ashton was our server. She is actually going to school and working two days a week and was very nice. We enjoyed visiting with her! We made a reservation for 3 o’clock since we were on our way and were afraid that we would not get in for their special! We love this location in The Colony, highly recommend! Just remember that they do not have happy hour on holidays!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Haywire Plano. We came on a Tuesday and was surprised to how busy it was, but that was no concern as we had reservations in place and we're seated pretty swiftly. For our starter we had the mini Elk tacos which were pretty good. For the main course I ordered the 18oz Angus Bone-In Cowboy Ribeye with a side of the White cheddar havarti mac&cheese and Tallow fries. The Ribeye was cooked to perfection and the taste was amazing. My wife ordered the Texas farm raised red fish which came with jumbo lump crab&rock shrimp, spicy lemon zydeco sauce, whipped potatoes and a frisée citrus salad. Per my wife it was an amazing meal. When we go back I'll be trying the 33oz Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye.

I didn't care for my table location. It was a two-person table with one seat on a bench and the other a chair. I always give my husband the seat where he's not looking at the wall so I spent the entire time looking at a wood wall. The table next to us was very loud. I should have requested a different table but it was crowded. Next time I'll do that in my reservation request.
