- TTinaBath/Somerset •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoDisappointed with my choice and the time it took to get served. Menu said mushroom pie with cabbage, green beans, roast potatoes, leeks and gravy. I got (45 mins later) mushroom pie, boiled potatoes and 4 old looking carrots on the side. No leeks, no beans no leeks, no roast potatoes as described. Didn't complain or ask to check the menu at the time as the waiters were so busy, it was hard to get their attention.More infoGeorge Inn - BackwellPrice: Moderate• Pub• Backwell•4.1
- TTonyLondon •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoBooked for a friend's birthday evening meal. Shared 2 starters and the calamari and mushroom dishes were exceptionally tasty. The lamb rump and sirloin steak were excellent (although they did mix up the medium rare & rare orders). We all enjoyed our desserts very much but, for me, the sticky toffee was the best I have ever tasted and my wife particularly enjoyed the morello cherry sundae. The drinks also scored a hit with Timothy Taylor's Landlord (one of my particular favourites) on draught, a very balanced Merlot (without the overpowering blackcurrant taste that so many popular ones seem to think they need to have) and Frobisher's fruit juices. The service was spot-on. Not our local but not too far to go so we must return soon.More infoThe Plough - WringtonPrice: Moderate• Pub• Weston-Super-Mare•4.7
- JJulieBath/Somerset •4 reviews5.0Dined on 15 Dec 2024Lovely food, could maybe be a touch more generous with veg on the roasts, but overall great food. The starter dish of the chicken tenders are epic, so lovely and fresh and generous sized tenders. Lovely atmosphere. We visited just before Christmas / mid December, and the pub and restaurant have been so nicely decorated.More infoThe Moorend SpoutPrice: Moderate• Pub• Bristol•4
