Best Lunch Restaurants in Carlsbad

The food was good…not great. The meatloaf was our fav. The server was nice but she kept asking us “have you had a chance to look over the menu?” Every 5 minutes! We had just sat down! Oh well…it’s not like they were busy…only about 4 tables of diners. The ambiance much better outside.

Love Ember & Rye restaurant. Most delicious meal. Many favorites, as I keep coming back. We enjoyed the Wedge salad, Filet Mignon, Ahi Tuna Tostada, Shrimp Cocktail & Osetra Caviar dip, simply the best.!! Perfection!! Pepared by Chef Jon and his team. Amazing service by Jessie. Perfect location, stunning views of the Aviara golf course.

We loved everything about our meal here. We started with the calamari, then shared the baby kale salad, and then I had the most delicious halibut sandwich with a pesto aioli, which was unforgettable. My partner had the blue fin tuna on rice, with a most perfect garlic Dijon tamari butter sauce. Dessert was a chocolate hazelnut cake which was encased in a chocolatey shell. The service was friendly and impeccable, with a true knowledge of food and the use of locally sourced ingredients. We can't wait to return!

Wildland will be one of our go to restaurants in Carlsbad. The food is unique with the mix of superior spices, presentation, and excellent quality. Corinna was exceptionally knowledgeable, pleasant, and friendly. She guided us as she described the dishes and provided an opening to the expected experience. Without a doubt we will return again, and again, and again.

Our experience was amazing. We had a VIP with us, but the manager didn't know it. Emily stepped in because we had seating trouble and she took excellent care of us. Our waiter was excellent too. Even our VIP make a sincere comment. Thank you Emily. You are running the show very well! The food was excellent all the way around. We had salad, sushi, streak and veggies.....all that were cooked to perfection.
