Best Lunch Restaurants in Barnstaple

A gorgeous old pub/restaurant. Brilliant staff and food to die for. Our roast dinners were delicious, one of the best I’ve ever tasted. I would definitely recommend this place in beautiful Croyde.

Sunday lunch for 4 All choose the smaller portion meals which were very good value. The vegetables served are simply superb and the subsequent sweets (again 3 smaller portioned) were again very good value. A very welcoming, relaxed dining experience which I thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic food and very friendly, helpful staff. Pub was very quiet. Last year they were closed over winter but decided to stay open this year at the locals request. Sadly the locals don’t seem to go in on a regular basis. I would strongly recommend the food was delicious in a lovely cosy atmosphere.

Lovely meat on the carvery (beef and turkey) - best carvery meats I've had in a while. Vegetable choice was excellent but could have been hotter were all a little lukewarm. Too many dogs around, can understand them being in the bar area but would have preferred the restaurant to be dog free

We had a fabulous Sunday lunch, the menu was just right and the food delicious. The staff are so attentive and helpful and a credit to the Pig on The Hill. We had a great time and can't wait to try the evening menu.
