The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. From Ales to YPA’s, to Blonde beers we are a small producer using primary English hops brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and our sister pub the Legh Arms.Our countryside sister the Legh Arms is our latest addition to the family and is situated in the pretty hamlet of Mere Brow.     Always great. Atmosphere and service amazing as always. Bar drinks lively. Starters amazing, masala prawns and crab croquettes. Main chicken nice, main halloumi salad rubbish, all leaves no halloumi burnt cauliflower. Prices so reasonable.

    Absolutely outstanding meal. My fiancee had the fish & chips & was completely blown away with the quality of the food & outstanding flavour. My sole was delicious & elegantly served. Highly recommend Dish especially for special occasions.

    Went to celebrate an 80th birthday. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals, which were delicious. Had very attentive service by our server, Chris, who was very pleasant, respectful and gave us excellent customer service: even noticed the 80th birthday card and presented the 'birthday girl' with a Happy Birthday plate of ice cream and csnt floss,made her night. Thank you Chris.
