- MMikeToronto / Ontario •8 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoWe were first time visitors and the experience did not start off great. We had reservations in the dining room, but did not know the front area was the bar and had it's own Hostess. They were busy, but we were the only people in line with the four staff members working the area pretending they didn't see us, or it wasn't there job. I finally had to wave one of them down, only to be told we were down the hall. Some signage could have saved us standing there, and a better reception would have avoided us standing there forming a negative opinion before the night even started. Once finding our way to the Dining Room, again we were the only ones in line and reception from the Dining Room hostess wasn't much better. It was a little strange. Once in and seated, our experience and impressions flipped 180degrees. The service was both pleasantly and perfectly attentive. The food was excellent. It is not cheap, but neither did we feel it under delivered. On a crappy Monday night, approaching Christmas, the place was VERY busy - surprisingly so. Although, the place is smallish which certainly adds to the noise levels. We will look forward to returning and will certainly be mindful when we do of how we are greeted by the hostess.More infoThe Royal HotelPrice: Expensive• Italian• Prince Edward County•4.7
- JJoanneToronto / Ontario •1 review4.0Dined 3 days agoIt was a birthday dinner at Gather for my husband. The way into the restaurant from the parking area was not lit, so a bit difficult to navigate in the dark. The food was outstanding. The restaurant is lovely with a fireplace and nicely spaced tables. My husband who has hearing aids, found it difficult to adjust them for the ambient noise. We would certainly return, probably for lunch, and definitely in the summer to enjoy the view of the lake.More infoWander the ResortPrice: Expensive• Global, International• Prince Edward County•4.8
- MMikeToronto / Ontario •8 reviews4.0Dined on 10 Dec 2024Very Nice Spot. Dining Room has an old time Farmhouse / Cottage like feel to it. It was busy on a Friday night approaching Christmas, so perhaps more noisy than normal. Food was very good with some uniquely cool features to choose from. Everything was very good, although I could not call anything exceptional. ....correction; the coconut cream pie is EXCEPTIONAL. While there is lots of parking, very little of it is in immediately close proximity. It was also on the expensive side, not to the point of regretting the experience, but certainly to the point of 2nd guessing how quickly we would go back. I wonder if we can buy the pie to go.More infoThe Waring HousePrice: Expensive• Canadian• Prince Edward County•3.8
- HHelenaToronto / Ontario •4 reviews5.0Dined on 17 Nov 2024Outstanding meal and service. The dining room was located in their wine cellar. Our kind & thoughful server raised the thermometer but the room was still chilly. Our delicious dinner and amazing server made up for it. The rabbit dish was very flavourful and the creme brulee was out of this world. Because we dined at the end of the season, the wine list was limited but that did not prevent us from having a good glass of either white or red wine. The Peacock cocktail was delightful.More infoThe Restaurant at Merrill HousePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French• Kingston•4.9
- HHelenaToronto / Ontario •4 reviews5.0Dined on 15 Nov 2024We had lunch at Waupoos Restaurant during Countylicious and enjoyed a delicious meal from the appetizer to the dessert. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Their white wine - White Rabbit - is a terrific table wine. We all bought a bottle of it from the wine shop. You can't beat the setting at this bright restaurant that overlooks the vineyards and the water. Beautiful! We've been many times before and it has always been a delightful experience.More infoWaupoos RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Canadian• Kingston•4.7
