We believe that 100% plant-based should equal 100% flavour and fun, which is why we set about serving up Sydney's most flavourful plant-based bites, inspired by European signatures. We're proud to sit alongside some of Newtown's best vegan and vegetarian restaurants, changing the flavour game for Sydney's plant-based restaurant scene. Our signature souvlaki dishes feature proteins made from wheat, soy, and mushroom marinated for 60-hours, delivering that irresistible "meaty" flavour you've been craving. 100% Yia Yia approved! This is not your typical plant-based fare. Our menu is packed with mouth-watering flavour. Expect satiating sauces, robust herbal notes and bold accents all beautifully presented by our incredible team in our cosy and comfortable venue, with a dash of pink neon for good measure!

Lovely food, we really enjoyed every dish. The staff were attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere both inside and outside in the courtyard. Dishes were well priced along with the wine list, despite us bringing our own wine. The downside was paying a whopping $15 per bottle for corkage, which is outrageous.

We moved away from Sydney, so we were keen to try one of our favourite restaurants on this holiday. It did not disappoint and is still the high quality food, excellent service and fantastic location! Sashimi tacos, as always, were the standout dish!

I absolutely loved the atmosphere at The Grounds. The decor is stunning, and the ambience makes me feel relaxed and comfortable. They’ve put a lot of thought into creating a welcoming environment. The service stood out for me. It was the perfect mix of professionalism and friendliness, which made the whole experience even better. Everything about The Grounds—from the decor to the overall vibe—felt thoughtful and inviting. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a place to unwind and enjoy excellent service.
