Best Lunch Restaurants in Yaletown

This was my first time at The Lunch Lady. We made a reservation just over 2 weeks in advance and the only option on a Sunday evening was outdoor patio (so make sure to reserve well in advance for weekends!). The outdoor patio, they mention, is heated, and it truly was warm, covered and comfortable. We had the beef carpaccio which was good, garlic noodles, and this I would recommend, but my favorite dish was the steak luc lac (done medium rare with this burnt scallion butter that was divine). My friend had the beef noodle soup, and although the broth was great and the soup was a sizeable portion, you can get something similar in other Vietnamese restaurants. Finally, their customer service is fantastic. All in all, with the service, food and price, I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Service was great, food was great! We really enjoyed the sushi and aburi chicken for the kiddos. Definitely will return next time we're in the city!

We had a fantastic experience thanks to our wonderful server Ollie! He was super hospitabile and genuinely friendly. Our orders were accurate and he was accommodating when we had to rush our bills so we could make it to our event on time. Thank you Ollie!

Anika was the best server I have ever had. I’d rather never go to another restaurant again than be served by anyone else. She is a queen, a mentor, a vision. I couldn’t have dreamed up service like this if heaven brought down servers and gave them to me at a nice restaurant. The timing was impeccable and Anika deserves a raise of at least 69% PER YEAR. This feels like it’s almost too much, but it’s not. If i met Anika in a dream, I’d wish it was real life.

We really enjoyed our meal again. Excellent server. Nice amd warm on a rainy cold day. Noise level was quiet so we could talk easily to each other. Delicious food and wine. Love the decor. It is a warm and inviting space. Highly recommend.
