I had a dinner with my son there. He loved the loco moco beef! Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. If you’re planning to stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village or view the sunset at the beach, I’d recommend this place. In fact, my son and I had a dinner at this place again 5 days later. Note that Friday nights can be crowded because of fireworks at the Hilton, so booking a table is recommended.

Merriman's Ward is definitely our first preferred spot for wino wine share get togethers. Food's fantastic and approachable and the corkage is still wino friendly compared with other places that have corkage charges set to discourage bringing special bottles to share with friends. We enjoyed a 3 hour commiseration over a bottle of Radio Silence! Servers were attentive but not intrusive--they let us do our wine share thing; very nice and appropriate wine glasses. All in all a place not to be missed. Thanks and mahalo again Merriman's Ward!!

Jarin was an attentive and knowledgeable server, making our family’s visit to Gyu-Kaku truly enjoyable. The food was delicious, and the happy hour menu offered a great variety of options to choose from. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!
