Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Avondale

This place is absolutely the best. The people who work there are so incredibly nice and talented. The food is phenomenal. It is BYOB and some individuals (my friends) may have brought one to many bottles :) I can not say enough about how good this restaurant is in Kennett. If I could give a higher rating I would!

Our server Brandon made our experience exceptional. He provided us with food and drink recommendations and did not steer us wrong. Two of us at our table immensely enjoyed the Romarin specialty cocktail. Four of us shared three hors d’ouevres - the charcuterie, the mushroom tart and the crispy artichokes along with the beet salad. The serving sizes of each were perfect for the 4 of us to share. Our water glasses were continually refilled and the service was excellent. Two at our table had the Saturday special - poultry feuillete - an elevated chicken pot pie with mushrooms and black truffle oil. I sampled the special and the sauce was superb! I ordered the Moules Frites and another had the veal escalope. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food, the atmosphere and didn’t feel rushed. The interior of the restaurant was decorated for the holidays and it was a warm, welcoming environment. We completed our meal by sharing the moelleux au chocolat - a warm chocolate cake with hazelnuts and praline sorbet…delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food and the inviting atmosphere.

All the food was excellent! From the Roasted artichoke appetizer to everyone’s entrees (Browned linguine with scallops and shrimp, Chilean Seabass, spinach and mushroom ravioli’s and Shrimp Scampi).

New Woodland Tents are a must-do!! Last year's tents were a fun experience that we happily reserved at least (4) times... The upgraded tents are warm and toasty and add to the food, ambiance and fantastic service that is delivered effortlessly. Perfect option if 1906 ( which is delicious ) at Longwood is booked for a pre/post Christmas nosh.

I enjoyed this restaurant more at dinner time than lunch as the atmosphere is much livelier in the evening. I had the blackened salmon salad and the mushroom soup, and both were delicious. My friend had the steak salad, and it looked as though the salad consisted of only lettuce. It would have been nice to have bread with the soup. The service was timely.
