Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Cancún

We love everything about this restaurant! The food, the ambience (being RIGHT on the water with a view of the sunset if you come at the right time), the live music, and wonderful service (ask for Quinto, who was so friendly, informative, and attentive). My daughter and I shared the scallops with Guillo peppers, the lime soup, and the grouper Al Pastore. These were great items to share and all so delicious. We loved it so much that we are coming back again tonight! Oh, and we also saw a crocodile which was super cool (we were of course totally safe).

Had dinner with my boyfriend for valentine and the place was amazing. We tried new york wagyu on hot stone, lobster tail, aussie steak, harry’s potatoes and lava cake for dessert. Everything was on point but i think beef dishes are the must try here. I also got a rose, cotton candy and box of chocolate from the restaurant as a valentine’s treat from the restaurant. Highly recommended!

I would’ve given it all 5 stars however, I was an attempted victim of being scammed (partially got scammed). Prior to my arrival, I paid for the Valentine’s Day “experience” which was equivalent to 200 USD and I was informed that I would be given a complimentary two bottles of champagne and this special “experience” with the table being decorated. I made a request for the them to leave a simple note that says happy Valentine’s Day which was not honored. I also observed them sprinkle a few rose petals on the table as we were walking to the table (which tells me it’s not much effort put into it). I was also only given one bottle of champagne and when I arrived, my table wasn’t even ready and we had stand by the bar near the lagoon briefly. SCAM WARNING…I advise everyone traveling here to please ensure you are being charged appropriately. One of the waiters attempted to charge me an additional 300+ dollars for my fiancée and I’s dinner and I caught him red handed and he made every excuse. I know these prices can be confusing however, go on google and look at the exchange rate for whatever currency you are familiar with. Outside of the cons, this restaurant is top tier. The food is incredible and so are the views and service. I DO NOT recommend the Valentine’s Day experience. Overall I give this place a 4/5. Could be a subjective opinion however, this WAS my experience. You all should try it yourselves and leave a review :).

The food was good. The service was excellent (Gerrardo). Try the Caesar. I’m not a fan of anchovy but wow this salad doesn’t taste fishy and I am going back again just for the table side salad and bread. I could’ve eaten the whole loaf myself. Great for date night ❤️ Will be back.

Last night my friends and family went to Porfirio' for dinner. We made a reservation for a group of six. Several of us have been there before, but we had a couple of first-timers in the group. Everything was excellent. Service was impeccable, food was amazing, and we were delighted. I really can't say enough about how much I enjoy visiting this restaurant. From my last visit in June there were a couple of menu changes and everything continued to delight. Finally, it's loud. The soundtrack is good, but don't plan for a deep conversation, especially across a larger table. I'll be back the next time I'm in Cancun!!
