- DDeborahWashington, D.C. Area •15 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a reservation and were seated within a few minutes of our arrival - just enough time for us to get a view of the buffet. The buffet was well staffed and had a wide variety of items to choose from. Since this was our first visit, the hostess who seated us gave good description of buffet and explained the menus and beverages. Our waiter, Aaron, was just as good, introducing himself, explaining and taking our drink orders, and keeping track of the needs of our table and I'm sure, the others he was responsible for. A manager, Dean, stopped by to answer our questions about Founding Farmer and to make sure we had what we needed and our expectations were being met. Both he and our waiter Aaron were very pleasant, helpful, and met our needs in the midst of a very busy environment.More infoFounding Farmers VA: TysonsPrice: Moderate• American• Tysons Corner / McLean•4.4
- CCherieVIPPhoenix / Arizona •19 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoImpeccable! Cannot wait to go again to try some more of the menu. We had baba ghannouge, fries with labneh, smoked beet salad, mujadara, imam bayildi, garides me anitho, lamb baharat and lamb kelftiko. Every single dish had a perfectly- balanced complexity of flavors that made want to sing. The food has inspired me to attempt some of these dishes at home.More infoZaytinya - DCPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Penn Quarter•4.7
- MMarySeattle / Eastern Washington •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThis was my third time at Trummer's. Each time has been a great overall experience. My husband, my son-in-law's mother, and I were all pleased with our meals. I love that the Austrian owner has weinerschnitzel and spaetzle on the menu as I love Austrian and German food and it can be difficult to find in this area. My son-in-law's mother and I really enjoyed the Titanic cocktail. My husband had the Austrian wine sampler, one of the wines he liked so much we actually purchased a bottle. Justin, our server, was phenomenal. He was so professional and yet fun. Between the 3 of us, we had a lot of questions about the food, particularly about the Kyoto carrots. When he couldn't answer my question about the spaetzle, he gladly asked the chef and relayed the information. Finally there is so much natural light that comes in through the full length windows in the dining room, one almost felt like one was eating al fresco. We can't wait to return.More infoTrummer's RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Clifton•4.6
- MmargaretWashington, D.C. Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWent for Christmas dinner. Foggy Bottom was one of the two locations that had the a’ la carte menu which was why I picked the location. It was a little crowded waiting for our reservation time and they were behind but we expected that and didn’t mind. There were three of us and we all were happy with our meals. We had wings and the corn bread skillet for appetizers. The wings were really good. I’m not a fan of corn in my cornbread but it still tasted good. I had fried shrimp with fries, coleslaw and corn bread. The shrimp and fries were really good. The coleslaw was a little blah. Our other two diners had a platter with ribs, cheeseburger sliders and fried chicken and coleslaw. They both loved theirs but also were not fans of the coleslaw. The staff was friendly and professional and fast. We enjoyed talking to them and the two different sets of patrons sitting beside us. We had a great Christmas dinner despite it not being an “traditional” Christmas dinner and would come back again.More infoFounding Farmers DC: Foggy BottomPrice: Moderate• American• Foggy Bottom•4.5
- PPaulWashington, D.C. Area •9 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThe restaurant, bar and lounge areas spread out across multiple rooms / terraces / levels so it is a really intimate and fun layout. Excellent service and value. Price for classic drinks skewed a tad high in my opinion. I'll try and catch a happy hour sometime and the jazz performances.More infoTabard InnPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Dupont Circle•4.6
