In 2017 Holly and Ali moved down to Plymouth for a new life away from London. Passion for all things pizza and years of hospitality life brought about Knead pizza.Starting in Plymouth market and honing our skills to try and work out our perfect pizza. We moved into The LHA garden in 2019 due to that thing we wont mention and started cooking with flame. We got ever closer to cracking and adapting the truest of neopolitan style dough into a perfectly soft, neo neapolitan light and flavoursome crust. Now after a stroke of luck we’ve moved to the amazing Prysten House 1498. It’s one of the oldest buildings in Plymouth built by Thomas Yogge, with a real Tuscan villa vibe and courtyard, Grade 1 listed and also the inspiration for Yogge our new pizza pal.

Firstly the staff. Absolutely superb - we were well looked after. Food allergies were taken into account and options were explained for each course.. The food - wow - everything we ate was delicious and elevated. The place itself. Incredibly cozy. Overall, a level of excellence that is synonymous with the Adam Handling name. This lunch was a gift for my in-laws and they absolutely loved it. If you have an opportunity to go, do not miss out.

A Gem of Hospitality and Flavor :) Millbrook is a true standout in the local dining scene. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with a warm and genuine welcome that sets the tone for the experience ahead. The hosting is impeccable, striking the perfect balance between attentive service and allowing guests to enjoy their meals at their own pace. Every dish on the menu speaks to the care and thought that goes into sourcing the finest ingredients. The seasonal offerings ensure that every plate is as fresh as it is flavorful, showcasing the best of what Fowlescombe farm and producers have to offer. Whether it’s a classic pub favorite elevated with a modern twist or a more adventurous special, the flavors are consistently impressive. The atmosphere is equally inviting, blending traditional pub charm with a touch of contemporary comfort. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a relaxed meal with friends or celebrate a special occasion. It sets a high standard for what a pub experience should be: exceptional food, outstanding service, and an unmistakable sense of hospitality. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates quality in every sense of the word.
