It is so sad that this terrific restaurant is closing A major loss for Vancouver

What a wonderful experience at Joe Fortes—no wonder it’s an institution! We unfortunately kept experiencing delays beyond our control and had to move our booking no less than 3 times within the hour and they were so, so gracious about it. Our server, Norm, was fantastic, and gave us excellent recommendations! The food was perfection-favorites were the calamari, lobster bisque, sablefish, arctic char, and mussels (basically everything we ordered; and the pavlova (my own baking specialty) and carrot cake were perfectly delectable! I will need to come by every time I visit (I’m from California). Make sure you make reservations as they get busy!

The food was fantastic, the ambience was great and the services was great. We set at the Bar as our table was in the corner and had no view. We asked the manager to change unfortunately it was fully booked but there was a place at the bar which was perfect for us as its more relaxing. However, after awhile the manager came to us and mentioned there is a table open whether we care to seat on the table, well we turn it down but its very nice of the manager to ask us first instead of just giving it to other. Beside the bar was great and the Bartender was fantastic recommed us with great food. We took the tapas and it was good choice!

We love Earls at Brentwood as everything is wonderful from parking availability to great food and ambience of the restaurant. The Manager Brett always finds a way to make us feel welcome and appreciated. Because of that, we always make it a point to support this Earls! Keep up the good work guys!!
