Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Makawao

My husband and I both chose daily specials recommended by our beautiful waitress. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The chef is remarkable! Watching the sunset over the ocean while having an amazing Mai Tai was such a treat! We also had the taro hummus appetizer and the bread pudding dessert. Knowing of our upcoming Maui trip, our son had given us this meal gift card for Christmas. What a fabulous gift! We will definitely dine at Merriman’s on every future trip to Maui!

We had the broccoli salad: excellent! Garlic shrimp: way over cooked and rubbery Rib Eye: tender and perfectly grilled Mahi mAhi macadamia crusted: superb Mai Tai: best on the island! Banana cream pie; better order two, delicious Service was top notch Very loud but enjoyable

Our waitstaff, Hailey, is one of the top waitstaff that we have ever encountered. Her knowledge and expertise was superb. She guided us through the menu and made fabulous suggestions. I would hope to have waitstaff as excellent as her in the future. We are coming to Duke’s again next week and hope she is there. Top notch!

Superb service, great cocktails and mocktails. This is a beautiful restaurant, our first time to this site. Each dish was exquisitely prepared and so delicious. Hard to decide which was the best, so just order as much as you can! Thanks for a lovely evening.

Loved the atmosphere even though a strong windy storm came in and they had to close off our view. Good was delicious. Our waiter was okay but it might have been due to all the tables he was serving. Did not come back often. Our food was served by different waitstaff other than our waiter.
