Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Timonium

We had the most excellent dinner last night at The Valley Inn. We got a res on Opentable and sat in a lovely area near the outdoor bar. We had kids with us, so the relaxed seating was very appreciated. From service to food to atmosphere, everything was top notch. We are pescatarian and there were many options. We had the fried green tomatoes, Caesar salad and shrimp scampi, and my picky 7 year old had pasta from the kids menu (shells) which were truly delicious. I feel like they are doing something really special with the menu or in the kitchen because both pastas were top 5 best ever in my culinary history. We didn’t stay for dessert but wine and cocktails were excellent with plenty of non alcoholic options. Our server, Aidan was amazing and we really need to shout out chef Manny for such a wonderful experience. We will be back!!

Consistently an excellent restaurant. Good food and exceptional service. Jose was a wonderful server. Wonderful starters: Lamb Chops, Tuna Tartare and ceviche. The Caesar salad was fresh and a large portion ( sharable). The crab cakes, veal parm and eggplant parm were awesome. It’s our favorite restaurant on the way to or coming home from BWI. And.. the Super Tuscan Wine was lovely.

My wife and I treated a long-time friend who was in Maryland for Christmas. All of us thought the food was excellent. The BBQ Baby Back Rib serving size was ENORMOUS. I took half of them home for another meal. My wife's single crab cake dinner and my friend's Atlantic salmon dinner were just the right size. Our server, Mary, was a gem: friendly and efficient. The only problem we had was our entrees were served - NOT by Mary - well before my wife and I had finished our Soup and Salad, respectively. A closer attention to timing will be appropriate.

Was seated right away even tho I was early and part of my party wasn’t there. Great service. Greeted promptly. Everyone was friendly. Atmosphere was relaxed, inviting. This is our second time going for Christmas Eve and will definitely be back to be able to sit outside in the warmer months. Food was delicious and inventive. Loved the hand crafted drinks. All in all a great experience.

What an absolutely amazing experience! I was ecstatic from the moment my reservation was made up to the actual date night. Everything was superb to include: the hostess welcome upon arrival, the beautiful candle lit ambiance, the waiter who was very polite and well versed in the products. He provided amazing food and beverage recommendations which were selected and appreciated. The presentation of the appetizer and entrees was awesome. My bae and I raved over everything while taking in the experience. As we completed dinner and prepared to leave; out came dessert, which was the highlight of the occasion. Upon making the reservation, it asked about a special occasion. All to say, it was Bae and I's 1st anniversary, OMG! The decadent dessert (cheesecake and raspberries) was embedded with gold candles, and a chocolate "Happy Anniversary" topper. As if that were not enough to create smiles and memories, Mr. Charles Levine, owner, visited our table and thanked us for dining at Citron. He cared to ask about our experience and even gifted us Citron memorabilia. You won't believe what happened next; we were adorned with some of the most delicious fine chocolates. Oh what a night!!! This by far was the best of the best. Bae and I plan to visit again in the summer to experience the outdoor dining and lake side view.
