Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Western Springs

Had a wonderful Valentine’s Day 2025 dinner at Prasino. The snowy Chicago weather meant it wasn’t overly crowded, making for a cozy and intimate experience. The ambiance was excellent, and while the entrée selection was somewhat limited, every dish was flavorful and well-prepared. Service was attentive and professional. Highly recommend for a date night or a business dinner!

We enjoyed our Valentine’s Day at Gibsons! The food and drinks were excellent and the staff was kind and helpful. We would have preferred to sit in the main eating rooms. We were in a separate space that appeared to be a temporary space for Valentine’s Day. It did not feel as comfortable and it was very cold when guests would enter/exit the restaurant. However, it did not ruin the experience and we will come back because of the food and excellent service!

We loved Coa! We’re so happy we were finally able to check it out. The restaurant was super cute, felt like we were on vacation. The service was excellent, between the hostesses, the waitress, the manager… everyone was super attentive and so nice! The ambience was great, again vacation. Now the food…. it was delicious! We ordered off of the hot and cold tapas menu, everything was so good! We had no room left, but we had to order the pastor tacos… so good! My husband and I are already planning our next dinner and I’m planning my next girls night out here so we can try the sangria!

Our server Hector completely ignored us once he took our order. We had to beg for water & coffee refills. Our plates sat on our table for an extremely long time until the busboy took pity on us & brought us containers for our leftovers. I frequent this restaurant approximately once every 6 weeks. I’ve had Hector at other times & his service was good Next visit I will ask not to be in his area

My wife and I celebrated Valentines Day by having lunch at Neat Kitchen + Bar. We thoroughly enjoyed the food! The best layered carrot cake I think I have ever had!
