- NNancyEdmonton / Northern Alberta •7 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoFriends of ours took us out to dinner for my birthday and we like to try new places. This restaurant is one that I have been to before but many years ago. Our servers were very good and the food was excellent. Drinks were also very good. We enjoyed the calamari and lobster dip for appetizers. Both very tasty. My husband had the rack of lamb and one person ordered the lobster risotto and 2 ordered the Fettuccine in the asiago cheese wheel. Great presentation and great ambience throughout the evening. Definitely recommend for a special occasion.More infoViolino Gastronomia ItalianaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Glenora•4.7
- DDavidEdmonton / Northern Alberta •3 reviews4.0Dined 6 days agoAs always, the service was outstanding. You have excellent waiters and other staff. My wife's Prime Rib was not the greatest. It was good, she said, but it rapidly lost its heat and had lot of fat and grizzle on it. She generally orders the steak and she will again next time we are there. The mushroom soup and my pasta dish were truly outstanding. Delcious. I think your prices have gone up, and what you charge for a 5 oz glass of wine is simply ridiculous. My wife passed on wine, given what you are charging for it. What really compromised the visit for me was the ridiculous "elevator music" that is played in the background. This is not the first time I have complained about this, and for one of Edmonton's finest ,classiest hotel restaurants to play muzak throughout an expensive meal really detracts from the overall experience. Can you not do better?? Some light classical? Even some "smoky jazz", with the volume turned down? Another thing. I realize business is business, and money talks. But it there no way you can implement an even basic dress code? ( i.e. no ball caps or toques while dining). While the days when I would wear a jacket and tie to your restaurant might be behind me I found that sitting near patrons who would look more in place at a truck stop did make the evening's experience less than stellar. Little things, I guess, and half the world is starving. But you asked.......More infoHarvest Room - Fairmont Hotel MacdonaldPrice: Moderate• Unspecified• Edmonton•4.4
- FFionaEdmonton / Northern Alberta •4 reviews4.0Dined 6 days agoGreat welcome when we arrived at our booth-there were pictures to colour for my two under 7 and crayons. Our super friendly server and her nice coworker who was in training, provided fantastic personable service. She provided us information when we asked her questions about the menu and etc. And our dishes were cleared quite quickly-at time a bit too quickly (my Winter Sangria was taken away before my last sip ☹️) The Hunan Kung Pao Chicken (my favourite for years) could of been better-not very much chicken (5 very small cubist pieces) and the noodles and chicken were hot (temperature) but the sautéd carrot slices on top of the noodles were stone cold. Left me a tad disappointed but still tasty. The Earls Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad dressing was delicious-very apparent with the flavour and appearance that real anchovies were utilized. Overall from the staple Chicken Tenders, Bacon Cheddar Burger, Caesar Salad and Kung Pao Chicken it was a great family dinner. Earls Tin Palace is a great space for family dinner, girls night out, celebrations and all other social gatherings over comfort food & drinks.More infoEarls Kitchen + Bar - Tin Palace - EdmontonPrice: Expensive• American• Edmonton•4.5
