We kept our building’s architectural features intact while updating the space with contemporary design elements and nostalgic touches. A locally owned Madison favorite, Otto's is set in a beautifully restored 1870s stone farm house with two dining levels. The menu features creative, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, fresh seafood, Certified Angus Beef steaks and more. A friendly lower-level bar serves classic cocktails and fine wines, and half-price appetizers from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. Tuesday – Friday. Outdoor dining and live jazz are featured on the deck Spring through Fall, weather permitting. Otto's is also open the first Monday of each month (excluding holidays) in the Spring and Summer when live music is being performed. Main level dining area is wheelchair accessible. Online reservations are available for the dining rooms only, bar and deck table reservations should be made via telephone.     Parking was close by and easy. Coats were hung over extra chairs. Unfortunately, we were seated at a table where there was constant traffic of other customers and servers. Good selection of menu items. The server refilled our water glasses. Everyone in our party of six seemed to enjoy their food choices. Three of us ordered decaf coffee after the meal. It was not piping hot, and we were not offered more coffee. We were not rushed. Each of the three couples received a check.

    The Palette Bar and Grill was an overall wonderful experience with fast and friendly service, fun drinks, and delicious food. I went early evening on a Saturday and it was nice and quiet with several seats available at the bar and many open tables in the dining room. It was a very nice date night experience and I would definitely recommend.
