Got there and found parking a lot quicker than what we thought, so made it in 10ish minutes earlier and got seated within 5 mins, maybe less. Our server then came and was great! Super nice and explain a few things since it was our first time there. Ordered an drink from the bar which was AMAZING! They served us some bread (which was so yummy). Order the calamari, and main courses which were to die for!! Meat was super tender and just so delicious, the tarter tots were nice and crispy..not crazy about the dipping sauce but it wasn't a huge deal. The asparagus were on point! Had the cheesecake for dessert and it by far was one of the best cheesecakes we've had! Big enough to share! Will definitely be going back...great food, great service, and the place was beautiful!!More infoSTK - NYC - MidtownPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Midtown West•4

Our waitress Grace was amazing as well. Would definitely go back.More infoDa Andrea - ChelseaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Chelsea•4.5

They wanted to seat us at a tiny table and I’m 6”2 and 215 lbs. I did wait a little and got a decent table. The service was slow but we like to take our time so it wasn’t an issue. The special, chilled seafood salad with cucumber, cumin and crème fraiche was very special. The onion soup and pistachio terrine were as tasty as ever. My steak could have been warmer but the frites were nice and crispy. My partners duck a l’orange was nice but now what he expected. The flourless chocolate cake was as good as ever but served way before my partners almond tart. However the waitress was very accommodating and I did get a free glass of wine for the wait. The prices have gone up ALOT! I think $40 for a duck breast and steak frites is Al little steep for a casual French bistro, but again, that is the cost of dining in NYC.More infoL'ExpressPrice: Moderate• French• Gramercy Park•4.6

- KKathleenNew York City •17 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe totally enjoyed our early weekday splurge at Altair. The entire staff was warm and gracious from the hostess to the bartender who dazzled us with a fun cocktail creation mixe at the table. The food was spot n from the warm, rich pumpkin brioche, to the perfectly seasoned mushroom ravioli and sea bass. At one point a very large party was being seated with tables being rearranged that was a bit chaotic, but it quickly settled down and we enjoyed the rest of our dinner. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion and its location makes it a perfect pre-theatre dinner.More infoAltairPrice: Moderate• American• Garment District•4.6
