Best Pre-Theater Restaurants in Turtle Creek / Oak Lawn

The experience was wonderful, the food awesome and the ambience was great. I read about STK before I went there and knew what I was expecting, especially on a day after Valentines day and on a Saturday. Reservation is a must if you don't want to wait too long. As a casual diner I would recommend this restaurant as a place definitely for special occasions and celebration. Again I truly enjoyed myself there with my wife and highly recommend at least trying it once.

First time dining there. It was a bit crowded and almost overcrowded, but that was to be expected given the day. Ambiance was sexy and the live music was a nice added bonus although by the time I was sat the live music was over. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the ambiance of the environment. The food was amazing and wish I had left room for dessert but, after the appetizers and drinks I was almost done before I started. The place was really nice but could tell the staff and guests both were a bit taken a back at how large the crowd was even later into the evening. My server Erin was amazing. Attentive, personable, and just a pleasure to have her as a server. Erin made sure I was well taken care of and that I had a memorable experience. I can tell she is passionate about her station and even told me she wanted me to come back when it was less busy to gain a better idea of what the service and experience overall is really like and I appreciated that. Erin was great and I truly appreciate her taking care of every need and question that came her way. I would definitely go back and highly recommend if you haven’t been to try it out.

Entire experience was amazing. Every course was great. We will become regular customers here. The best part of the night was our waiter TJ. He provided great service and was clearly passionate about his job and the food.

When booking we didn’t realize the restaurant was in a hotel so walking in was a bit awkward, there’s no distinct entrance other than through a side door from the outside or through the lobby. There’s no hostess stand or anyone to seat you so you just find a spot and sit. Pros: Impressive wine list, I was surprised to see some of the more prestigious wines from Napa on there. Service, the manager got our wine right away and our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made some great recommendations when asked. Food, came within 10 minutes of ordering and everything was the proper temperature. My one complaint here, some of the pieces of the baguette for the Burrata had a huge hole in it so it was difficult to get a bite from that one. Just a details thing that could have been prevented. But overall the flavors were great and everything was plated beautifully. Dining room was neat, clean and decorated nicely. Cons: Nobody to greet and seat. Ambience was a little off. It was really brightly lit but there’s probably not much they can control being a part of the hotel lobby. Overall I was impressed with Chef Han and his staff. This could easily be a stand alone restaurant and they would knock it out of the park. I think being in a hotel does the food a bit of a disservice, they weren’t as busy as they should have been on a Saturday night with how good the food was and the level of service. We enjoyed our experience and would definitely come back.
