Café Berlin has been serving authentic German cuisine on Capitol Hill since 1985. It occupies the ground floor of three townhouses whose front yards serve as Biergarten for outdoor dining. The interior features a small bar and two cozy dining rooms. The restaurant is located within a short walking distance of Union Station and the U.S. Capitol. It draws politicians, congressional staffer, and tourists as well a loyal following of neighborhood residents. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Succotash. We had a nice table in a corner and the service was exceptional. Our server was very attentive, polite and professional. He made sure that the food flowed at an appropriate pace and that our water glasses were always topped off, and the table was kept clean. The food was delicious! I had a salad, catch of the day and hummingbird cake all of which was fantastic. My husband had corn bread and shrimp and grits, which he also thoroughly enjoyed. .

Our party of three had a wonderful experience. Tia is an excellent server who made great recommendations and provided exceptional service. Although the chicken is crispy and delicious, I highly recommend the Seafood Cajun Diavalo. It was fantastic!
