- MMaryvipPortland / Oregon •18 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe dined at Joey's on our 3rd evening in Vancouver. So far it is our favorite! The vibe was lively and the service attentive. But the food! There was such good variety for my husband and my varied tastes. I had the steak and sushi along with the house salad. I have never tasted such delicious and unusual sushi before! The aburi sushi was new to me and very much enjoyed. I ate every bite. My husband had the chicken parmesan. It came artistically presented with the noodles spun atop the chicken. The chicken was moist and delicious and balanced well with the imaginative house salad. The prices were reasonable for downtown Vancouver.More infoJOEY Bentall OnePrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.6
- JJanetVancouver / British Columbia •16 reviews5.0Dined on 19 Nov 2024The chicken fried mushrooms were not great - the dip was fantastic, but if you like dipping deep fried dough then this may be wonderful for you. The Babaganoush was fantastic but I think pita bread would be a better accompaniment than lavash - it was thin and hard. Best dish was the cauliflower. Our server was amazing!More infoHomer Street Cafe & BarPrice: Moderate• Comfort Food• Yaletown•4.7
- CClairevipVancouver / British Columbia •151 reviews5.0Dined on 18 Nov 2024Fabulous. Expensive, but the quality of food and the service was well worth it. It is very rare for a Chinese restaurant to have such polite, friendly, attentive, efficient, caring, patient service. In Chinese, the term would equal "gentle", the opposite of "rough" which is lacking in many Chinese restaurants. Chang'an ticked all the right boxes for great food and great service. We loved the duck (pre-order), the smoked fish appetiser, baby back ribs (so tender the meat just fell off the bone), jumbo scallops, egg tofu, and the celery/lily/peach resin. The Pork Belly Sliders were a little disappointing as we were expecting soft buns. These buns are more like the northern style pocket bread buns -- baked rather than steamed. Beware the Szechuan Peppercorn Shaved Beef. Delicious but oh, so very very spicy. Only one person of our group enjoyed it because he can eat super spicy. This is more of a special occasion restaurant as dishes were delivered with a flourish. Not somewhere you'd go to for a quick bite. Highly recommend.More infoChang'anPrice: Very Expensive• Chinese• Yaletown•4.6
- TJTimJvipVancouver / British Columbia •15 reviews5.0Dined on 6 Apr 2024We love lunching at this location. The sushi is outstanding every time. The prices are a bit high but worth the extra cost. Seems to be bustling with activity but not overly loud. Can't wait to return.More infoThe Lobby Lounge and RawBarPrice: Expensive• Sushi• Coal Harbour•4.6
