The food was delicious, and the service was exemplary. We were celebrating our anniversary. When we made the OpenTable reservation, the questions asked what room we wanted to be seated in. Since we hadn't been there before, we had no idea what would be best for our situation (looking for a fairly quiet table to just enjoy a meal together.) So, in the comments section, I explained the situation. \n\nWhen we arrived, the host wished us a Happy Anniversary. That was a very pleasant surprise. When she seated us, the daily specials were printed with another Happy Anniversary wish. Then, the waiter brought us champagne and wished us a Happy Anniversary, again. The whole experience was far above and beyond what we would have expected, and it was sincerely appreciated. The food was fantastic and everything is house made right down to the desserts. I had one of the daily specials (Panko Encrusted Cod) - that was amazing! Last night was our first time visiting The Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, and the service was exemplary. We were celebrating our anniversary. When we made the OpenTable reservation, the questions asked what room we wanted to be seated in. Since we hadn't been there before, we had no idea what would be best for our situation (looking for a fairly quiet table to just enjoy a meal together.) So, in the comments section, I explained the situation.
When we arrived, the host wished us a Happy Anniversary. That was a very pleasant surprise. When she seated us, the daily specials were printed with another Happy Anniversary wish. Then, the waiter brought us champagne and wished us a Happy Anniversary, again. The whole experience was far above and beyond what we would have expected, and it was sincerely appreciated. The food was fantastic and everything is house made right down to the desserts. I had one of the daily specials (Panko Encrusted Cod) - that was amazing! My husband had the NY Strip Steak, which he said was delicious, as well.
This is our new favorite place. :)
