Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. What a lovely afternoon a dear friend & I had at Jamie Oliver’s-St Catherine St was today! We were warmly welcomed & shown to a very comfortable table. The menu was excellent, not huge but there were good choices for me as a vegetarian & my meat-eater friend. We went for two different “nibbles” to start off - the aged Parmesan was a sublime addition! I had the risotto & every mouthful was savoured. My friend had the game pasta dish & she loved it. We also had the hash-brown chips with truffle mayonnaise- AMAZING! The portion sizes were good so we decided against selecting any of the divine puddings. A lovely afternoon. We both would recommend Jamie Oliver’s -St Catherine’s.

I have been to Blacklock City several times, and have never been disappointed. The food and drinks were all excellent. My favourites (in no particular order) are the pre chop bites / pork rib / Blacklock burger / sirloin / prime rib / all in / Blacklock Sundays / white chocolate cheesecake / old fashioned cocktails. Not to be consumed all at once, but if you think you can manage them all, I wish you the very best! The servers were very attentive and engaging. And even helped celebrated my birthday with a freebie. Have a birthday celebration there and you'll see!
