- KKristavipNashville •6 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoOur waiter was very nice, attentive and informative. I took my father here for his 70th birthday. All he wanted was a good steak. He asked for it medium. Sadly he got his filet mignon and it was rare. The staff agreed and took it back, recooked it, but maybe didn’t check the temp? It was still rare with a slight improvement. They gave us the meat free of charge but I’m just more disappointed that he wasn’t able to get his steak how he wanted it for his birthday. However, my finances filet mignon was perfectly medium. Our appetizer, my Caesar salad and bolognese pasta was amazing!More infoOak Steakhouse - NashvillePrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• The Gulch & North Gulch•4.6
- SSamanthaAtlanta Metro •15 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoFood was good but as a vegetarian there weren’t many options. I ended up just getting a side salad and a side dish. My husband said the pork sirloin was very good with great flavor. The best part of the dinner was our excellent server, Brenna. She was friendly, polite and professional.More infoetch - NashvillePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.7
- JJessicaNashville •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoLocated in downtown Nashville, Deacon’s New South offers a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. From the start, the service was exceptional—attentive, professional, and eager to ensure we had a great experience. We began with delicious cornbread and an inventive charcuterie board. While the board wasn’t traditional, it offered bold, interesting flavors that made for a fun start to the meal. For the main course, I chose the petite filet, which was cooked perfectly—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. My dining companion selected the prime rib, but it was underwhelming. While tender, it lacked the depth and seasoning needed to elevate it, and a better brine would have helped. Another group member had the wedge salad with steak, which she found absolutely delicious—the steak was flavorful and paired beautifully with the crisp salad. One of us also opted for a chicken dish, but it didn’t stand out. While well-seasoned, it lacked the richness of the other dishes, making it the least memorable part of the meal. The ambiance at Deacon’s is upscale yet comfortable, with soft lighting and an open kitchen. Overall, the service, cornbread, and filet were highlights, while the prime rib and chicken left something to be desired. Deacon’s is definitely worth a visit, especially if you’re a steak lover. I’ll be back, but next time I’ll stick with the filet and try the wedge salad with steak!More infoDeacon's New SouthPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown•4.5
